Pareidolia. The sight of meaningful images and symbols within nature. The shapes of ancestors in the mountains. The seeing of a face in the clouds.
For some, what may seem mundane and lifeless, to others may seem magical and wonderful. When we allow life dignity and meaningfulness, we open ourselves to receive life. We are open to its messages. To its symbols. To its liminal spaces of communication. We recognise the intelligence of sentient life in all its forms.
Our perceptions are much more mysterious than we would care to accept. Having courage to trust ourselves is key to allowing life in. The expressions of nature are dynamic and multifaceted, for nature is infinite and immensely differentiated.
To look outside of oneself and see wisdom is to recognise teachings open every
moment's wings. When we learn to see the intelligence of nature communicated within symbols and synchronicities, we become animated with the power of the specific message for us.
moment's wings. When we learn to see the intelligence of nature communicated within symbols and synchronicities, we become animated with the power of the specific message for us.
So a symbol popping out of no where is worthy of our respect, as in to look again, rather than our ignorance. To ignore messages is to fail to connect to life in its fullness. We disrespect the lessons that we need to learn in class and life is our classroom. We can learn by training our observation.
As well as allowing for spontaneous sightings, you can go out in nature and find a beautiful landscape or stare at the clouds. Gaze up with a soft, relaxed focus and allow whatever image and story comes to you. Whatever comes to you is important for you at this moment.
Witnessing the lands story is to gain knowledge and familiarity with the land. We grow together as we innerstand our different stories together. The land holds memories longer than the people often can, and so to look to the land shows us more of the beings that have resided there over time.
To see deity's or grand figure's within the landscape is to witness the creation, for we are in the creation as we speak. We are speaking our lives into existence, and the land has its voice too.
If we quiet and open ourselves we can receive it. If not, we just see rocks and clouds. We don't see life. We don't see growth. We don't see life unfolding. We are actors in the grand play, and we could know more of the greater script if only we observed the scenery.
